so we decided we were going to book our room at "hotel blake" right? too bad i read reviews online and found out that not only does it suck balls, but the wifi is finicky. so. sadly, i think its been decided against. which is too bad because of the price and location. UGH. anyway. i found another one..

Seneca Hotel & Suites
200 E Chestnut St
CHICAGO IL 60611

January 31-Feb 5
one bedroom suite, 2 queens
2 adults, 1 child (sneakin in the kaitlyn for the win)
$623.90

Location:
- Adjacent to John Hancock Center
- One block from North Michigan Avenue
- Five-ten minutes walk from the redline
- 13 minutes driving from the Metro so we may be taking cabs back from the shows since chances are one or more of us will be retardedly intoxicated and the walking from the venue to the train would probably not be the best idea in such a state. at night. in the freezing. nawimsayin?

Hotel Features:
- Complimentary wireless Internet access
- Saloon Steakhouse serves lunch and dinner
- Rooftop terrace

Guestrooms:
- Complimentary wireless Internet access
- Microwave ovens, refrigerators and coffeemakers

i've read through a shit ton of reviews and it seems kinda meh but not horrible. the location is really the selling point here. if you wanna find us something near the metro that has internet for cheaper, be my guest. but if not i think we'll probably book this one on monday if there are no complaints. IDK.

Would recommend to a friend!
The Four Points by Sheraton Chicago Midway is good and convenient. Easy check-in and fairly convenient to airport, of course, ... and subway to downtown Chicago. Room was clean and comfortable; staff was nice and helpful. Wireless access worked great, no drama with connection. It's what a standard hotel experience should be.

I dig.

REVIEWS:
OH MAN THIS REVIEW IS EPIC:
Overall, this is a good hotel. The room was very clean and well kept-up. We have also stayed at the Hampton Inn Midway in the same plaza, and found this to be a pretty comparable hotel. My only complaints were these: I would have liked something a little more substantial for a blanket on the bed (I try to avoid turning on the heat in hotel rooms because they are always so dry already, but the bedding wasn't heavy enough for this in November), and I found it somewhat tacky that a big bottle of water was left on the table with a tag basically saying "feel free to drink this, then we'll add $3 to your bill". If the water isn't free, don't leave a bottle of it in my room. I would prefer to go to a vending machine. We didn't drink the water, and it just sat in the room. Insignificant, I suppose, but I just found it kind of tacky and irksome. The toilet could stand to flush a little quieter, too -- it's startlingly loud, especially in the middle of the night. Other than that, these were very acceptable accomodations. We would be willng to stay here again.

but srsly though the reviews make it sound pretty dece. and there's a tip~ in the review that says "Skip the cabs! if you want to go downtown, don't even think about a cab! You can ask the shuttle driver to take you to the closest point at Midway airport to catch the subway (or L)." so like.. apparently i am correct and we can do that. i like that. it feels nice~

SUMMARY

GOOD SHIT:
-Shuttle
-High-Speed Internet
-COCKTAILS!~!
-In room coffee.
-Reviews make it sound bitchin.

BAD SHIT:
-check in time is 3pm? idk that could suck for some reason.
-transportation blaaah.
-price, bb. the price hurts mah bhole.
